La Mesa sits about 20 miles southeast of our Poway shop, an easy run down Highway 67 and the 8 into the East County hills. Known as the Jewel of the Hills, it is a settled, older city, and its housing stock is exactly the kind that rewards retrofit experience.
La Mesa is one of the older communities we serve, and its charm comes with HVAC challenges. Pre-war craftsman homes, Spanish revivals, and 1950s and 60s houses fill the hillsides, and many were built long before central air was standard.
